Days 24-25: Christmas 2016!

We had a lot of fun on Christmas Eve. Chad had to work but we enjoyed the last minute touches on Christmas and of course, making cookies for Santa!

This is the definition of a "sugar" cookie

All snug in their beds
Christmas morning was a flurry of excitement.

She quickly spotted her sleeping bag and was so very excited. She waited SO patiently to open gifts while Papaw changed clothes and Daddy made coffee.

We are so grateful to have such a sweet and loved girl. As she opened presents she kept exclaiming "oh! I always wanted one of these!" After each present was opened, she would then pick one of us to open a present so that we all got a turn. I was nervous that she would immediately ask why she didn't get a jeep but her gratitude and joy made it all the more exciting when we showed her the one gift she had been asking for all year.

Her face when she saw the Jeep we had hidden for last

Merry Christmas, all!

Days 20-23

The pictures from OSU's Sensitive Santa turned out so well!

On Tuesday night, we worked on teacher gifts to take to Wednesday's party. We are so so fortunate to have such wonderful and amazing teachers.

Amazing photos below by the incomparable Ms. Amy.

The party was cute this year because the teachers set up crafting stations where students and parents could do activities instead of parents standing along the perimeter of the dining area, watching their children eat. It was slightly less awkward than that.

We also pulled the snow dough back out. Again, if there is only one sensory activity that you do, this is a good choice!

Thursday was Polar Express and Pajamas Day, which A had been excited about for two weeks.

Here are some videos of her in action.

Today we were so excited that Papaw had arrived and also that Daddy was home. Also, the pajama elves visited!

We spent a little time in the kitchen making reindeer chow.

We are so excited it's almost Christmas Eve! Soon we will need a detox from activities as well as sugar!

2016: Day 17-19

The weekend was full of fun, having friends come over, a birthday party, making Christmas tree cones, and a Snowman Breakfast.

I always love how the cones round out the village.

On Saturday, we got our first (tiny but freezing!) taste of winter weather so it seemed like the perfect time to throw a Snowman Breakfast!

(speaking of throw, the elves 'asked' A to throw some toys in a bag to donate but she said no...)

We finally got the pictures back from the Milk & Cookies event with Santa at the Atherton. They were fun to see!

Monday was very low key. After work/school, we went to the library to pick up some new Christmas books and we finished shopping for A's teachers.
